This past week I've been fortunate enough to watch two movies on swimming via Netflix. The first one I watched via my Roku Netflix Player was "Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story". Netflix summarizes the movie as a made for television biopic about Marilyn Bell, a swimming phenom. Basically it's about this 16 year old Canadian swimmer who was the first swimmer to cross Lake Ontario. It wasn't the best movie but it was entertaining. The movie starts off as annoying as hell but gets better. If you don't have Netflix I'm sure you can find the movie elsewhere for rental.
Also from Netflix but via the old fashion way via the postal service came my second movie about swimming. This one was a documentary entitled "Watermarks". Netflix summarizes the movie as a documentary telling the tail of a grouop of champion women swimmers form the Jewish sports club Hakoah Vienna who reunite 65 years later to tell their inspiring story. And it was inspiring. This is a movie for even non-swimmers to rent. You can visit the Watermarks website online LINK.
I have been searching Netflix for good swimming movies to keep me in my Olympic swimming euphoria. Anyone else see know of any good swim movies? Comment below.
