Last night I just couldn't sleep. Maybe cuz' I slept in so much yesterday morning and add to the fact that I could hear someone walking upstairs all night. So after a night of tossing and turning I gave up and headed to the gym pretty early this morning. Which was nice as the gym was empty. After 15 minutes of cardio to warm up I hit the weights.
Later on it was time to get in the pool. The lack of sleep added with the fact that I ate a late breakfast but no lunch lead to a piss poor swim. I actually go to the pool during lap swim and continued my friend Amy's introduction into the world of swimming. I pretty much sat on deck the whole time getting some sun. Which also wasn't a good thing to do before a swim workout. I have up in the workout after an hour of swimming.

Then we had a warm up set:
4x (a round of each stroke)
100 Kick on 1:50
2x50's Drill on 50
25 Swim on 30
(I think this is what we did. I missed a 100 of the breaststroke kick for a pee break)(900/1400)
One last warm up set:
75 on 1:10 first half of the first 25 was fast
25 on 25 (600/2000)
4x50's Descend Stroke on 50 (200)
1x200 Free on 2:40 (200/400)
3x50's Descend Stroke on 50 (150/550)
Okay so it was to be 2x200's Free on 2:40 but I did one. Then started to swim the other but was like "screw it" and got out. It's a Holiday Weekend! Plus I was just dying in the water. The sun from earlier was getting to me. I was feeling warm and sluggish. It was just time to get out. (250/800) (800/2800)

So I guess with this set and one more after it the yardage would have been higher. Oh well like I said it's a Holiday! Happy Memorial Day! I so can't believe that it's almost June. Jeez...
