This morning I posted about how Nintendo has teamed up with the American Heart Association to "work together to promote physically active play as part of a healthy lifestyle LINK. And once again I gotta say that even I who swims, runs and hits the gym still play with Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. Not as much as a like but I do use the scale. Without my Wii Fit I wouldn't have a scale. When training for the LA Marathon
I did use Wii Fit and Wii Fit plus several times as a warm up before heading outside on those cold mornings. I'm not going to say playing Wii Fit is going to make the average couch potato a marathon runner but it gets people active. And for millions of people 30 minutes of activity a day even if it's Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus will make a difference in the war on obesity. And for you active folks who read my blog for swimming news trust me you are not too fit to play the game. Use it as a stress release game after work or for a warm up. The Yoga and stretching make for good warm downs after a tough workout.
