Yesterday I rested after my morning swim. I did go to the movies but that was about it. When I woke up this morning my lower back felt better so I hit the gym. I know I should have taken a day off but I think my issue is the way I sit in a chair all day at work. I need one of those balance ball chairs! I think when I buy a new desk I'm going to spring for one of these chairs. I remember seeing Bob on The Biggest Loser give the tip of just using a balance ball at work but just the ball seems a bit too much.
So I cycled to the gym. I rode with no pain so I figured I'm good for some gym time. I did my usual routine for chest and arms skipping legs, back and arms. I was a bit more careful while working out keeping my back straight and flat to the various machines. Figured maybe bad posture while working out is also not a good thing. I felt good even if I was a little tired.
After I just cycled home. Overall feel okay. Going to skip swimming this evening. Take it easy. See how I'm feeling in the morning to decide if swimming is in the cards or not. Next week our pool will be closed for a full week so our workouts are being moved to different pools. Nice for a change of pace but the workouts time will shift. Instead of two morning workouts we'll only have one from 7 am to 8:30 am. While out night workouts will be a 1/2 hour later from 7:30 pm to 9 pm. Don't know how I feel about swimming to 9 pm. But it's better then nothing. Glad the team was able to get alternative pools even if I skip the week.
