Well I didn't actually swim much fly or actually say "time is fun when you're swimming fly". Someone in the locker room said something sort of like that which stuck in my head. As for today's workout it was nasty. Well not the workout but the 87F water and the 90F air temp. Not pretty swimming at 10am.
Warmed Up
400 Pull w/o Paddles
100 Pull w/ Paddles
200 Kick w/fins
4x100's 25 R Arm / L Arm Drill, 25 Kick, 25 Catch Up, 25 Drill. Forgot the interval (400/1100)
300 50 CatchUp / 50 Build (300/1400)
6x100's on 2 minutes 3rd 25 of each 100 was stroke. So one fly, one back and one breast then repeat. (600/2000)
6x75's Free Pull on 1:15 breathing every 3 (450/2450)
4x50's Kick. Well it was 6 but had to make my mandatory kicking pee break. (200/2650)
12x25's Odds Drill / Evens Sprint. 2 Fly, 2 Back, 2 Breast the rest Free. (300/2950)
Good workout. It wasn't my fastest as I was struggling. Lots of dryland cross training this past week. But at least I got moving.
Warmed down a 50 so 3,000 yards. In other news...although I did swim last Thursday I forgot to mark the 8th Anniversary of my return to swimming. After 17 years of non-swimming I joined a US Masters Team 8 years ago on July 5th. So happy happy joy joy to my swimming life!
