Some Fly & A Bit Of A Cramp
Happy 4 Miles of July!

June Rearview Mirror: Swim, Running and Cycling

Here is June by the numbers:

I ran 15.92 miles.  Not a big running month but more then May.  Hopefully July will be the month I run again!

Compared to past months:

May I ran 3.08 miles.
April I ran 28.23 miles.
March I ran 91.35 miles.
February I ran 75.14 miles.
January I ran 124.97 miles.

338.69 miles for 2010.

I swam 43,650 SC Yards and 4,000 LC Meters for the month.

Compared to past months:

May I swam 55,000 SCY
April I swam 46,050 SCY
February I swam 53,250 SCY
January I swam 46,750 SCY

235,225 SCY for 2010.

And since I cycled in June for the first time in ages I have some miles logged.  64.98 miles to be exact.

And that was June by the numbers.

I wouldnt say Im compulsive as much as competitive with myself and the fact that I like numbers. You know from sharing a lane with me while swimming sometimes I cant remember if we did 8 or 9 of those 100s or intervals most of the time. But when comparing numbers and statistics after the face is fun for me. Guess that is why I like the two Freakonomics books so much.

As for the Chicago triathlon that seems like a daunting task. I know you cycle a lot but I dont know about a triathlon. Good luck!

So I'm not the only compulsive one out there? June for me = 23,000 yards swimming, 13 miles running, and 80 miles cycling. Low on all counts because of a two week vacation. I'm hoping to soon have resolution to my elbow tendonitis and knee issue so I can put in some serious training for the Chicago triathlon at the end of August. Then all I'll have to worry about is getting my bike to Chicago.
