Meet Charbel who is learning to swim and be safe in the water for the first time thanks to SWIM KIDS Operation 10,000.
This is the story of Charbel. The first child to be given the opportunity to learn to swim and survive through SWIM KIDS Operation 10,000. Charbel, who is 6 years old, was unable to swim and had a deep fear of the water. Royal Life Saving Society -- Australia nominated Charbel to be the first recipient of this opportunity, via their relationship with children's charity Barnardos Australia. Helping Charbel through his swim lessons was Olympic champion and UNCLE TOBYS Ambassador Grant Hackett, who assisted him on a journey towards learning to swim and be safe in the water. Witness the impact this journey has had on Charbel, and those around him. Swim and Survive lessons have been provided by Royal Life Saving-Australia with the support of UNCLE TOBYS. Our aim is to provide FREE Swim and Survive courses (1 Term) in 2012 to 10,000 kids like Charbel --who otherwise would miss out.
UNCLE TOBYS Swim Kids, in association with the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, provides parents with information about water safety and teaching kids to swim.
