Lane 8 - Go Erie posts "Healthy return to the pool. A doctor made me do it. But I'm glad he did. Back in June, I asked if walking on a treadmill could be aggravating a nagging health problem. "Your symptoms are worse after using the treadmill?" he asked with a smile. "It sounds like you already know the answer to your question." He suggested that I try swimming or Pilates instead, both of which are low-impact. I chose swimming, because it would be easier to cram into my schedule. The pool at the Eastside YMCA -- a five-minute drive from our house -- offers lap swimming beginning at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday."
