Wednesday's Swim Report - The Fittest Man or Swimmer In The World Is?

It's late on the east coast or early on the west coast but Wednesday might be a hectic day so here is Wednesday's Swim Report...
Lane 1- Men's Health posts "This Is the Fittest Man of All-Time. It started with a simple question: Who is the fittest man of all-time? Go ahead. Think about it. We did. And the answer wasn’t easy. Add it all up, and one man stood out above all others: Michael Phelps. At 27, he’s the most
decorated Olympian of all-time, a feat he managed to accomplish relatively free of controversy—well, outside of that one college party, anyway."
Lane 2 - Buzzfeed posts "Tom Daley's Awkward Product Placement. British Gas really should have thought about the positioning of their logo on the diver's speedo."
Lane 3 - The Hollywood Reporter posts "Pretty Little Liars' Snags Olympic Swimmer Missy Franklin. The four-time gold medalist will appear in an upcoming episode of the ABC Family drama. In the episode, Franklin -- who will play herself -- turns up at The Brew, where competitive Rosewood High swim team member Emily (Shay Mitchell) works. Emily is shocked to see Franklin in Rosewood, and once she recovers from her initial impression, the two talk about swimming."
Lane 4 - USC Trojans posts "USC Hosts Utah To Kick Off Season. Pac-12 meet set to start at 12 p.m. Saturday. The USC women's swimming and diving team, coming off back-to-back third-place finishes at the NCAA Championships and featuring eight returning All-Americans and a host of Olympians and internationally experienced swimmers and divers, opens the season with a Pac-12 Conference home meet against Utah on Saturday (Oct. 13) at noon. The team is led by senior co-captain Haley Anderson, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist who was also an NCAA champion, a three-time All-American and a two-time Pac-12 winner."
Lane 5 - NYDN posts "Forget swimming with the fishes, soon you can drive with them — amphibious vehicles coming to U.S. dealers. The Quadski — an all-terrain vehicle that doubles as a watercraft — is skedded to go on sale by end of year."
Lane 6 - Arena posts "Swim Challenge Fulfilled Arena Goes Pink. It was a sea of pink October 10, 2012 at the CAL pool as the men’s swim team competed against the University of the Pacific in a special “Pink Out” swim meet, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in support of the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation. During the meet, Arena presented a check in the amount of $20,000 to the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation, to further the Foundation’s cutting-edge research and ultimate goal of eradicating breast cancer."

The Cal men's swimming dual meet versus Pacific on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. at Spieker Aquatics Complex has been designated as a one-of-a-kind "Pink Out" swim meet sponsored by global swimwear brand Arena and benefiting the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Arena, the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation, the Golden Bears and the Tigers will be joining forces for a "Pink Out." event. The goal is to turn Spieker Aquatics Complex entirely pink - including pink swim caps and pink t-shirts for the meet's competitors - in support of the cause."
Lane 7 - Team USA posts via youtube "Tony's Olympic Journey Comes to a Close. Tony, back from London, wraps up the series with some tough words from a tough Olympic games. But he's already preparing for 2016!"
Lane 8 - Capital Gazette posts "Senior swimmer fit for Hall of Fame. he message on Nancy Brown’s answering machine speaks volumes about who she is and her philosophy on life. Following the standard greeting is an ad lib from Brown that states: Always remember to stay fit, and swimming is a great way to exercise. Brown has found fulfillment and contentment through swimming. The Pasadena resident has made hundreds of friends and pushed herself beyond perceived limits. The 76-year-old grandmother of 16 has also compiled an impressive list of competitive accomplishments, setting all sorts of national records in U.S. Masters Swimming."
