Lane 1 - San Antonio Express-News posts "San Antonio hopes to host U.S. swimming championships. Officials are in discussion to bring three major meets to the Northside Swim Center in 2015, including the U.S. senior nationals. The senior nationals would include former Olympians and top-level hopefuls for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The meets would include a U.S. Masters event for older swimmers in April 2015, followed by the senior and junior nationals in August of that year."
Lane 2 - Mail Online posts "Incredible underwater headphones that transmit music to swimmers' ears by vibrating sound through their cheekbones. A waterproof mp3 player streams the music which resonates through the bones and into the highly sensitive cochlea part of the ear. The headphones take inspiration from a 1970s product which transmitted music through the collarbone in the same way. 'Neptune has been a real hit with recreational swimmers, and it can store 1,000 songs so the user will run out of energy long before they run out of music."
Lane 3 - Inside The Games posts "Swimmers ready to make a splash for the second GO Swim Month in Australia. The second annual GO Swim Month run by Swimming Australia is set to get underway next Tuesday (October 1) as the governing body launches its national campaign to get more youngsters into the pool."
Lane 4 - Straits Times posts "Olympic champ due in S'pore for short-course World Cup. TOP-CLASS swimming returns to Singapore in November with the Fina short-course World Cup meeting. Rising stars such as triple Olympic champion Ranomi Kromowidjojo and the Hungarian Katinka Hosszu, dubbed the "Iron Lady" for entering multiple events, have confirmed their attendance for the Nov 5-6 showpiece at the Singapore Sports School."
Lane 5 - ITV News posts "World swimming champion Mark Foster takes on new challenge. A host of swimming stars are joining Londoners to back in the pool for the final weekend of this year's British Gas SwimBritain. London Fields Lido will be hosting the finale of a series of 10 SwimBritain events that have been taking place across the country, with six-time world champion Mark Foster, diver Nick Robinson-Baker and Olympic bronze medallist Cassie Patten taking to the water alongside nearly 500 London swimmers."
Lane 6 - Darien News posts "Three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Soni spends day with Darien YMCA Piranhas. It's not every day a three-time Olympic gold medalist breezes through town. It's even more of a rarity to be taught by one, so the members of the Darien YMCA Piranhas weren't about to miss the chance to hit the pool with Rebecca Soni on Saturday at the Darien YMCA."

Lane 8 - The Australian posts "Swim team better off without me, says Leigh Nugent. AS Swimming Australia prepares to announce a new head coach for the national team, former team leader Leigh Nugent has emerged from a three-month exile declaring the team could not have gone forward with him."
