British swimmer Ben Proud believes that he needs to "work on" perfecting his short course strengths following an impressive season in the pool. The 20-year-old ended the summer as a Commonwealth champion, and while he failed to medal at the FINA World Championships in Doha last month, the swimmer earned some personal bests."

Lane 5 - Channel News Asia posts "Tao Li opts out of centralised national training squad. Tao Li has opted out of the national training centre squad under Singapore’s new swimming head coach Sergio Lopez, and will instead train in Hubei to prepare for June’s SEA Games on home soil."

Lane 6 - The Tennessean posts "Olympian swimmers to teach area students. Olympic gold medal swimmer Rebecca Soni and world-record swimmer Ariana Kukors will speak to swim team members on two occasions: 6 p.m. Thursday at Lebanon City Hall and 4 p.m. Saturday at Sea Star Swim School in Hendersonville."

Lane 8 - Outsports posts "Out college swimmer invites LGBT athletes to come out. "You may not have realized it yet, but we need your help. Each one of us, even those who haven't come out yet, is a unique piece of the LGBT sports movement. Being in the closet is like benching your best self. We need you first-string, because no one else can play your position."
