Sunday's Swim Report - It's Super Aquatic Time & Other Swim Bits

Been a bit busy and no swimming but at last I got a few minutes to write a few swim bits.

Lane 1 - Australian Olympic Committee posts "Lochte to lead US against AUS Swim Team in Perth. Eleven-time Olympic medallist Ryan Lochte will headline the USA team to compete at the Aquatic Super Series in Perth this month. Lochte leads a 24-strong squad along with dual Olympic gold medallist Cullen Jones. Lochte will be making his debut in the January 30-31 competition in which USA, Australia, China and Japan go head-to-head in swimming and waterpolo."

Lane 2 - Daily Mail posts "'This is an adventure I have wanted to undertake for years': Retired Australian swimming champ Stephanie Rice reveals she's moving to America. She's Australia's golden girl of the pool but retired swimmer Stephanie Rice is taking the plunge and moving to America. The Gold Medalist didn't specify where she would be based or what kind of work she'd be doing."

Lane 3 - USA Today posts (w/video) "91-year-old swimmer stars in Speedo ad. Jurgen Schmidt is a Huntington Beach, Calif., retiree who still swims about a mile almost every day at a Masters team practice. In a three-minute video ad posted by Speedo, Schmidt, a retired comptroller for a meatpacking company who turns 92 next month, offers this telling advice to folks young and old: "Don't be afraid to get in the water."

Lane 4 - UT San Diego posts "Swimmer competes for Peru and UCSD. Paul Li, a Tritons junior co-captain, holds dual American and Peruvian citizenship."

Lane 5 - Nutrigrain AU posts "Round One IronWoman Highlights - Nutri-Grain Series 2014-15."

Lane 6 - Sun Live posts "Radford to lead world charge. Defending champion Kane Radford has more at stake than national titles in the New Zealand Open Water Swimming Championships in Taupo at the weekend. Radford, along with the leading New Zealand open water swimmers, has eyes firmly fixed on the FINA World Championships in Russia in July."
