Getting the work done. Got the day off to rest and watch some tv. Oh and go for my Covid Test.  I have the day off (expiring PTO) so I could have slept in but I watched a video that said you should wake up the same time everyday so..

Still Having Foot Pain But Still Running

And I did feel better after that run! Tomorrow is recovery day! I’m off on Wednesday and Friday - Sunday. So just one 4am workout this week and that’ll be Thursday.

But back to that nagging foot pain.  It started last weekend while I was On Call for work.  I wore my old Nike Metcons and I didn't realize how much walking I'd be doing.  By the end of the day the inside of my right foot arch was sore.  I chalked it up to my over pronation while wearing flat shoes.  But a full week later it's nagging me.  I'm beginning to think my new running shoes which are for over pronation are too stiff causing this pain.  It feels like something is rubbing that part of my foot. Even though these trainers are less than a month old I may have to go back to my old shoes.  I went from the Hoka Mach 4 to the M Elevon 2.  After Santa comes this week I may order a different pair or try the On Running brand.

Saturday Workout Done and Done

WAHOO, THE WEEKEND!  Time to spend more time at the gym. I like the weekend since I'm not looking at the time and trying to figure out how much more time I got before going home and getting ready for work.  Compound the isolation moves with moderate reps followed by some tread time.  FYI, I am the most unsocial person at the gym.  I stare at the ground if I'm not jamming it out to tunes.  I avoid looking at the person next to me or around me.  It's my time and only my time.  No distractions, no one talking to me, or asking me questions or anything...I'm pretty sure people think I'm stuck up but I enjoy my time in isolation.  Just my music and my workout.

Low Rep Compound Full Body Workout. No cardio this morning besides 10 minute warmup and 5 minutes Power Walking.

Was tossing and turning so got out of bed and headed to gym for some Isolation with lots of reps. Finished with 10 minutes of Power Walking. Have a blister on my foot so no running.

Meh. 10 minute warm up, 50 minute strength and 15 minute HITT on the Tread. First workout since Friday. Overall Feeling…Meh.

With work I haven't been able to workout since Friday.  Well I could have but I didn't.  Got to stop blaming the job / hours and take responsibility.  I was on the verge of saying "Fuck It, Give Me The Damn Bucket" and giving up on work.  But after this morning's Workout and Music Playlist I'm refocused and in a good spot.  I have a good job that is pretty easy and help others live a better life.  I know there are others in my position who have things worse.  Short staffing is a problem everywhere.  I just gotta remember I'm not digging ditches and remember the good my Team and I do everyday  for others.

Back to the workout...it was Meh. I had about 50 minutes of strength which felt more like a warm up.  It was like it was my first day working out and my weight choices felt like that.  But any workout is better than no workout.  Plus it was more about getting my mind / focus back into umm...focus.

Usually I’m in bed about 8pm but I’m on call to 10 so did a 30 min Low Impact Ride to keep me awake. #peloton

Another Hypertrophic Full Body Workout. Wanted to do the full workout so didn’t have time for cardio. Need to be at work at 7:30. Also this weekend I’m “On Call” so won’t be much working out. May just eat a big steak and take one of Allegra’s #peloton classes
